Lower Green Recreation Ground

Teen play equipment at local recreation ground

Help shape the future of Lower Green recreation ground!

In last year’s Lower Green Placemaking survey, you told us you wanted better play facilities and more activities for teenagers and young adults.

We’re excited to share that big changes are on the way for the play area and skate park and we want you to be part of the journey!

Both spaces are reaching the end of their current life, and we are planning a much-needed upgrade. It is a fantastic opportunity to reimagine them together and create fun, safe, and inclusive spaces that local children, teens, and families will enjoy for years to come.

We have come up with exciting new options and we would love your help choosing the one that works best for you.

Tell us what matters to you

What do you enjoy doing in your local play spaces? What would make you want to spend more time there? Your ideas will help shape a design filled with a variety of possibilities, from climbing frames and slides to swings, green gym equipment and chill-out zones.

Have your say

When you take the online survey, you will be able to give feedback on:

  • the children’s play area
  • the teen equipment to replace the skate park
  • or both. It’s up to you!

Our goal is to have the new spaces ready for summer 2026, just in time for the summer and school holidays.

You can take part by:

  • filling in the online survey
  • Visiting Lower Green Community Centre during opening hours to fill in a paper questionnaire and cast your vote in person,

The survey closes on 30 September. We can’t wait to hear your ideas!
