City of Banning Youth Commission
The City Council of the City of Banning has initiated the process of adopting an ordinance to establish a youth commission that will serve as an advisory body to the City Council, much like the Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission. The draft ordinance was presented at the April 11, 2023 meeting of the City Council by City Manager Doug Schulze. Feedback from the City Council was positive and supportive of the idea of establishing the youth commission. Mayor Alberto Sanchez has expressed strong interest and support for a youth commission since joining the City Council.
