City of Banning
Facility upgrades are needed to order to keep up with the City growth and meet impeding wastewater effluent discharge quality permit requirements.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Project

In the pursuit of continuous development and commitment to environmental stewardship, we're excited to shed light on the critical upgrade project for the City of Banning Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), or as locally known, the Water Reclamation Facility. This essential infrastructure has been faithfully serving our community by ensuring the collection, treatment, and safe disposal of municipal sewage. Recent reviews have underscored the need for capacity and treatment improvements in alignment with Banning’s growth and our goal to introduce a recycled water supply.

Foreseeing future exigencies, the upgrade project weighs in on further enhancing our essential sanitation services and addressing impending wastewater effluent discharge quality permit requirements. The City's project aims to ensure the WWTP not only keeps pace with the city's expansion but also fortifies its water supply portfolio through increased usage of recycled water. The crux of this endeavour underlines our commitment to providing reliable, cost-effective and sustainable services for our community.

The City has plans to deliver the project utilizing a Progressive-Design Build (PDB) approach.
