Sonoran Urban Resilience & Green Infrastructure Exchange (SURGE)
About Us
Coordinated by Pima County Regional Flood Control District, SURGE is a collaborative peer learning network which advances green stormwater infrastructure and nature-based solutions through knowledge sharing, co-development of tools and strategies, and collaborative action to advance stormwater innovation.
The group is open to collaborators from across Pima County, including both urban and rural communities. We welcome participation from practitioners, community partners, and organizations interested in advancing resilient landscapes and green infrastructure across the region.
Focus Areas
Groups participating in SURGE tackle regional resilience challenges and support actionable, member-led initiatives that build capacity and expand impact on the following focus areas:

Every other month, SURGE highlights guest speakers from across the region who share lessons learned, project examples, and new ideas shaping green infrastructure and climate resilience. Meetings are hosted virtually and scheduled periodically. Join the listserv below to receive announcements and registration links when new sessions are scheduled.
Organize a Focus Group!
Focus group meetings provide a small-group setting for members to workshop ideas, share knowledge, and get peer-facilitated feedback in an informal yet structured environment. Contact Nichole Casebeer to coordinate a focus group meeting.
