Phase 3 of the Belmont Park Area Flood Risk Reduction Project is scheduled to begin in April 2026. This phase includes construction of earthen levees designed to provide flood protection up to 44 feet, extending from the Water Treatment Plant to the end of South River Road South. Floodwalls will also be constructed near the Water Treatment Plant and in front of 1458 South River Road.
The project will require the removal of two homes, and the Fargo Recycles recycling drop site will be removed and relocated to a new location yet to be determined. Following construction, approximately 80 trees will be planted within the project area to help restore the landscape.
Phase 3 is expected to be completed in late fall of 2026.
