Mill & Overlay Projects: 2025 (PR-25-E1 and PR-25-H1)

OVERVIEW:

• As part of the city's ongoing annual infrastructure improvement efforts, this project includes milling and overlaying to enhance road quality and longevity.

• The construction season will affect various areas of Fargo.

• Identify and address the issues that have arisen in the streets over time.

• The contractor will conduct mud-jacking on designated sections of the curb and gutter to improve drainage. This process involves drilling small holes and injecting grout to lift and realign the gutters.

• Replacement of broken pavement and portions of the curb and gutter.

• We are updating certain sections of the sidewalk to ensure they meet ADA standards.

Impacts:
While construction is underway, traffic will be maintained. However, some lanes may be closed or detoured at times, and parking may be temporarily reduced to facilitate the work being done. Sidewalks may also be closed periodically to allow for construction activities.

Funding:
This portion of the project will be funded through a combination of Sales Tax Funds and Special Assessments for the properties that will benefit from it. Specifically, 50% of the funding will come from Sales Tax Funds and the other 50% will come from Special Assessments. The costs allocated to each property will be distributed according to the policy established by the Fargo City Commission.
