2026 Seal Coat Project
Project PR-26-C1
OVERVIEW:
Planned preventative maintenance seal coat street improvements are approved this year across multiple sections of the city.
A seal coat creates a surface that resists traffic and weather, typically applied when the existing pavement is porous enough to accept the treatment.
New developments will have their streets sealed as the final phase of the project.
Worn road surfaces will receive a seal coat to prolong their life.
Funding
- This project will be funded through a combination of sales tax, utility funds, and special assessments for the properties that benefit. The costs allocated to each property will be distributed according to the policy established by the Fargo City Commission.
