Mailing System Transition

We have shifted to a new mailing system!

Here are some FAQs about what's going on with Utility Billing:

What's the latest update on the utility billing situation?

We are still working through quite a few bugs with the new billing software, but we are making lots of progress on it AND we've updated our mailing system in the process.

After lots of trial and error, we have found a new mailing system that will hopefully eliminate all of the mailing issues we've been experiencing.

A run of Cycle 2 bills was mailed out during the first full week of October. If you are in Cycle 2, you should expect to see your bill in the mail by Friday, October 17.

A run of Cycle 3 bills is being mailed the week of October 13-17. You should expect to see your bill in the mail by Friday, October 24.

Up next: Cycle 4 and then back to Cycle 1. We will update this project page once Cycles 4 and 1 are complete, as well, so everyone will know that they should be getting a bill in the mail.

This is good news. Now, how do I know which Cycle my bill is in?

Great question! Everyone's account number starts with a 2-digit code. Based on where your code falls, that dictates which cycle you're in.

  1. If the first 2 digits of your account number are between 01-10, you are in Cycle 1.
  2. If the first 2 digits of your account number are between 11-20, you are in Cycle 2.
  3. If the first 2 digits of your account number are between 21-29, you are in Cycle 3.
  4. If the first 2 digits of your account number are between 30-40, you are in Cycle 4.

That makes sense. But where do I find my account number?

Another great question. Check out the image below-- there, you'll see a sample of a bill with generic info, including a sample account number where the 2-digit Cycle identifier is circled in red. Based on that image, the customer is in Cycle 2 because the first two digits of their account number are "17."

Graphic, showing customers where they can find their Cycle identifying number.
