Statement of Community Involvement
We are updating our Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) – and we want to hear from you.
The SCI is a key element of our planning framework and sets out how we will engage with residents, businesses and community groups when we:
- Prepare planning policy documents such as the Local Plan
- Consider major planning applications that affect your neighbourhood
Why are we consulting?
We are committed to making the planning process more transparent, inclusive and accessible. This consultation gives you the chance to tell us:
- How you want to be involved in planning decisions
- What consultation methods work best for you
- How we can better reach underrepresented voices in our community
What’s changing?
We are reviewing our SCI to:
- Reflect new digital tools and engagement methods
- Improve accessibility and inclusivity
- Strengthen how we support neighbourhood planning and cross-borough co-operation
Who should take part?
This consultation is open to everyone - whether you are a resident, business owner, developer or part of a local group – your views matter. For more information you can visit our website
How to get involved
The consultation is open from midday on Monday 16 June and will close at 5pm on Monday 28 July; you can respond using the survey on this site.
