Launch of Garden Waste Collection Service

This will mean only residents who use the service would pay, rather than the cost being met by the council tax payer generally, which is unfair to residents living in flats or without a garden.

Under the new scheme, residents will pay an annual subscription of £50, or £35 for residents who receive Council Tax Support. This works out at less than £1 a week for a garden waste collection and less for residents on benefits.
