Meadow Park Refreshment Facilities

Open to the public since 1929, Meadow Park in Borehamwood is one of our strategic destination parks with an emphasis on sports, fitness and activity.

Since 2017, investment in the park has delivered two new play areas, refurbished sports courts, an accessible footpath network including a Greenway, further interactive play, tree planting and the town’s only splash park.

External contributions from Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council provided a community performance shelter and Leecliffe Big Local have facilitated a BMX Pump Track, which is about to be installed.

Last year, the park hosted 14 local events including Cinema in the Park, Families Day and the Annual Fireworks Display. A monthly farmers market also takes place in the car park.

In 2023, Meadow Park achieved Green Flag Award Winning Status for the first time and retained the award in 2024.

Further improvements are still required to complete the park project including:
• Reconfiguration of Brook Road Car Park including any necessary drainage with controlled discharge and storage, lighting and the provision of EV charging points.
• Associated hard and soft landscaping to create a welcoming entrance to the park.
• Design and construction of a refreshment facility with integrated welfare facilities.
