Rain Barrel Reimbursement Program
Discover how the Town of Hinton is making it easier for residents to take part in water conservation efforts while supporting sustainable practices in our community, thanks to grant funding from The Resilience Institute’s 'Roots for Resilience' program.
The Town of Hinton's new rain barrel reimbursement program will help residents purchase rain barrels to conserve water, reduce pressure on natural and Town water systems, and build community resilience in the face of environmental challenges.
Rain barrels are a practical way to collect water for gardens, lawns, and fire protection and reduce the use of drinking water provided by Town systems. They are one step on the path towards a greener future.
This program is funded by a grant from the Roots for Resilience program - a partnership between The Resilience Institute and the Canadian Red Cross.
