The Town of Hinton is creating a new Municipal Communications Strategy and wants to hear from you.

We want to know:

• How you want to get information from the Town, and
• What information you would like to receive.

We will be engaging residents in two ways:

1. A survey (see button below)
2. In-person focus groups of 8 to 10 residents will discuss the effectiveness of current Town communications, identify strengths and challenges, and provide suggestions for improvement.

How to get involved

The survey for Hinton residents will be available in October at the button below. It will ask simple demographic questions, followed by questions about how you'd like to receive information from the Town.

Everyone who completes the survey can be entered in a draw to win a $100 Town of Hinton gift basket.

Some residents will be invited to attend a short, one-hour focus group in November 2026. Beverages and snacks will be provided, along with an honourarium to thank attendees for their time.

What Happens Next?

The results of the survey and focus groups will be shared with the community in a What We Heard summary in late 2026.

The results will be used to create a four-year Municipal Communications Strategy in early 2027. This Strategy will be available to the public once complete.
