F-48 W Newton City Limits (Thomas Jefferson Drive) to Cherry Creek

Because of weather conditions earlier this week, the work scheduled for today is being moved out to Wednesday. Work scheduled for Wednesday will get moved out a day and likely continue into early next week. Anticipate completion of asphalt work by June 4th weather permitting. This work will impact access to Lambs Grove, Country Club Acres, Westwood Park and Golf Course, Performance Signs, Newton Animal Clinic, and other properties whose primary access is F-48 W. Surface paving will be one lane at a time. Local traffic, those who live along or are associated with a business along this route, will be directed through the area by pilot car and flaggers. Traffic trying to get to I-80 or to S-52 will be directed to follow the detour route set up for the project. Anticipate surface paving to be complete on Tuesday, May 28th.
