The Coffer dam (keeps the construction area dry) is in place around south pier location and pile driving started today. Also, demolition of existing structures has progressed to where you can see the different bridges that existed over the North Skunk River at this location. A little bit of history…..The bridge being constructed today is the 3rd bridge at this location. The original bridge was probably constructed back in the 1930’s and it was replaced with a new bridge in 1964 and that is the bridge we are replacing now.
