May 2024 Project Update

Our Kimley-Horn team continues efforts this month to develop the early designs and federal permitting documentation we will need to submit for a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review later this year. This project requires a NEPA review and approval due to the federal grant funds that will be used for construction.

At the same time, the team is scheduling meetings with other public agencies, such as utilities, that have services within or passing through the intersection. Although a roundabout is effectively a surface street improvement, this roundabout will alter the shape of the intersection, which may mean moving underground utilities to maintain correct operation or to keep future maintenance needs possible.
