Cedarwood Property Development Recreation

After careful consideration of the budget, building design, site constraints, and community needs, the decision has been made to no longer move forward with the construction of a community center at the Cedarwood property.

Mercy Housing and a local homeowners’ association transferred the Cedarwood Clubhouse to Lake Stevens in mid-2021. The 5,000-square-foot facility, located at 10100 5th Place SE, was closed due to security concerns.

The City remains committed to finding opportunities at alternate sites to build a community recreation center to serve the needs of our growing community.

A public meeting occurred on November 14, 2024, with a follow-up survey conducted through January 5, 2025, to review the Cedarwood property and discuss future recreational opportunities.
