LAPD Central Community Station
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division is committed to fostering a safer, more connected Downtown Los Angeles through transparency, responsiveness, and meaningful community partnerships. Serving as the hub for public safety in one of the city’s most vibrant and diverse areas, the Central Community Police Station supports over 40,000 residents across approximately 4.5 square miles of urban neighborhoods.
Central Division proudly serves the following communities:
Bunker Hill/Historic Core, Central City East, Chinatown, Civic Center, Downtown Los Angeles, Fashion District, Jewelry District, Little Tokyo, Solano Canyon, South Park-Entertainment, Toy District, Old Bank District, Artists Lofts, and the Financial District.
Central Division is under the jurisdiction of LAPD Central Bureau and is staffed by approximately 400 sworn and civilian members of the Department. Our officers are dedicated to making Downtown Los Angeles a safer place to live, work, visit, and serve. We actively collaborate with community stakeholders, neighborhood associations, and non-profits to ensure that policing strategies align with the values and priorities of our neighborhoods.
As part of this ongoing effort, we invite you to participate in our Resident Engagement Survey. This short, anonymous survey is designed to gather direct feedback from community members on issues like safety, trust in police, and the visibility and effectiveness of local law enforcement. Your responses will help guide station-level decision-making, enhance neighborhood outreach, and inform LAPD’s continued commitment to community-based policing.
Your voice matters. Help shape the future of policing in your neighborhood.
