Existing Conditions, Plan Assessment + New Ways to Engage Now Live!

The City of Laramie is continuing work on Forge Laramie, our update to the community’s Comprehensive Plan—the long-range guide that will help shape how Laramie grows and evolves over the next 20 years. Two key pieces of the project just went live on the Forge Laramie website, and we’re excited to share them with you:

Existing Conditions, Trends & Projections (Technical Analysis):
This report pulls together the major data points that describe where Laramie stands today—our population shifts, housing availability and pricing, economic landscape, land use patterns, and more. It’s a clear picture of current conditions and future trends, and it provides the foundation for the strategies we’ll be drafting next.

2007 Comprehensive Plan Assessment (Plan Assessment FINAL):
This document looks back at the City’s current (2007) Comprehensive Plan and evaluates how its goals line up with what we’re hearing today. It highlights what’s still relevant, what needs to change, and where entirely new policy areas have emerged since 2007.

Both of these documents help set the stage for the next chapters of the project, and they’re meant to make it easier for the community to see how the plan is taking shape and to set the foundational background information. The Forge Exchange—the interactive exhibit space for the Comprehensive Plan—is now open, and we invite you to come by and explore. Think of it as a rotating series of hands-on “mini-museum” displays. Each month through March, the exhibits will focus on a different topic that emerged from last summer and fall’s community engagement.
