Stakeholder Interview Themes Live!

The summary of themes that came out of community stakeholder interviews is now live! Explore the resultant themes grouped under current City Council goal categories.

The City of Laramie is updating its Comprehensive Plan—the long-range policy guide that will shape how our community grows and develops over the next 20 years. This update reveals the common themes that resulted out of initial stakeholder interviews which are organized using the City Council’s adopted policy goals as a framework.

These discussions—held with local partners, institutions, and organizations—helps provide context for the information that has since been gathered through the broader community engagement.

On June 24–25, 2025, the project team met with 48 participants across 18 in-person interviews, representing agencies and organizations ranging from the University of Wyoming and Albany County School District to local departments and business groups. Each conversation provided practical insights into how Laramie can strengthen collaboration, enhance housing and infrastructure readiness, and ensure long-term sustainability.

Each section of the attached document begins with the City Council policy statement related to the goal area, followed by key takeaways from these stakeholder interviews. These perspectives—together with community feedback that has been gathered since then—are helping shape the draft strategies and priorities that will define Laramie’s future.

Your voice is essential. In the months ahead, you’ll have new opportunities to share your perspective and respond to draft ideas. Together, we can work to create an implementable vision for Laramie’s future.
