The City of Laramie, Downtown Development Authority (DDA), and the Laramie Main Street Alliance (LMSA) are spearheading the development of an updated Laramie Downtown Plan to guide the future of Downtown Laramie. This plan will build on Downtown’s historic character, local businesses, arts and culture, and role as a community gathering place, while planning for growth and change over the next 20 years. With the last Downtown plan completed in 2011, this update provides a fresh, forward-looking approach that reflects today’s opportunities and challenges.
The Laramie Downtown Plan will focus on how Downtown can grow and function, with goals and strategies related to buildings, streets, public spaces, transportation, housing, economic development, and infrastructure. Community input is the cornerstone of the planning process, with many opportunities for residents, business owners, students, and visitors to share ideas and help shape the plan. The final plan will include a clear vision with a practical action plan that outlines priorities, timelines, and responsibilities. Together, these tools will help Downtown partners work collaboratively to invest in Downtown and ensure it remains a vibrant, welcoming, and resilient heart of Laramie for years to come.

Supporting Documents
On the right-hand side, you will see linked Supporting Documents. These are the materials that have been generated throughout the different phases of this plan. The documents starting with RFP detail the Request for Proposal document that was released publicly which covers the scope of work of the Downtown Plan and the proposal that was submitted by Logan Simpson and ultimately accepted by the DDA, City, and LMSA interview panel and City Council. The documents starting with "Current" are the Downtown Plan (2011) and Historic Design Guidelines (2007) that are currently in place and which this new Downtown Plan will build on.
