West Side Vision Study

What is the West Side Vision?

The WestSide Vision Study was spearheaded by the City of Laramie Planning Division in collaboration with graduate students from the University of Colorado's Urban and Regional Planning program. It stands as a significant initiative aimed at shaping the future trajectory of the neighborhood! By engaging with the community and leveraging the expertise of planning professionals, the study aims to identify key priorities, concerns, and opportunities within the neighborhood. This collaborative effort highlights the importance of community engagement and academic expertise in fostering sustainable and inclusive urban development.

Aislinn & Avery from the University of Colorado were the graduate students and Philipp was the principal planner from the City of Laramie.

This plan won the American Planning Association Small Town and Rural Planning James Segedy Award for a Student Project in 2026.
