Project Overview
About the project
On March 23, 2026, the Lebanon City Council approved additional street resurfacing projects that will allow the City to resurface approximately 8,900 linear feet of streets, or about 1.5 miles of roadway.
These streets are currently in poor, very poor, or failing condition and were selected as part of the City’s ongoing street maintenance program. The projects are located across multiple areas of the city and in all three council wards.
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2026, starting in the Nathaniel area and continuing through the project list.
How Streets Are Chosen
The City of Lebanon uses a pavement management program to evaluate street conditions and prioritize repairs each year. Streets are not selected at random. Projects are chosen based on data, inspections, and available funding.
Streets are selected based on:
- Street condition (poor, very poor, or failing)
- Traffic volume
- Safety concerns
- Drainage issues
- Connectivity and location
- Cost efficiency and available funding
The streets included in the 2026 resurfacing program were identified as being in poor condition and in need of resurfacing to extend the life of the roadway and improve driving conditions.
