Housing Leeds Feedback

We recently asked you for your views on the standards of service you expect from our contractors and sub-contractors.

You told us:
  • The communication from our contractors and sub-contractors could be improved, especially the need for them to explain the work they are doing and how long it will take.
  • How important it was that our contractors respect you and your home.
  • Our contractors should inform you if they can't complete the work and explain what remains to be done and when.

What we’ve done:

  • Based on your feedback, we’ve created a new Code of Conduct. This better reflects what is important to you, and will help ensure you are treated with respect throughout the repair process.
  • Set the expectation that contractors and sub-contractors must tell you what work they've done, tell you about any outstanding actions and if any further visit is needed. They shouldn't be telling you to contact Housing Leeds again about any outstanding work

We’ll now work on sharing this more widely so residents are aware of this updated Code of Conduct and if we fall short, can more easily hold us to account.
