Otley Bridge

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience whilst we complete works to the parks.

Here’s a brief update on the final phase of the project.

Temporary traffic lights

Night-time lane closures will take place tonight (Friday 23), with temporary traffic lights from 8pm to 530am for works on the footway and in the carriageway.

Tree planting and park restoration

Tittybottle Park and a section of Wharfemeadows Park north of the river will be restored, with landscaping aiming to be completed in the first week of February, subject to the weather.

This includes planting several trees in the parks (including two oak trees which were temporarily stored in a tree nursery) and 10 trees elsewhere in or around Otley.

Today work started on preparing the trees and planting in Tittybottle Park, with the other trees planned for Wharfemeadows next week, subject to the weather (see photos below).

Existing benches will be painted and have started to be put back.

Garnett's Field is expected to be fully restored for public use by the end January.
