Starship - Robot Food Delivery Pilot
You may have seen some peculiar robots on the streets of Leeds. We are trying to reduce the number of short journeys made by car, including those made by delivery vehicles. This pilot, ran in partnership with Starship Technologies, is aimed at providing a zero-carbon alternative to food deliveries to some of Leeds' residents.
As a local resident we want to hear your thoughts on the Starship robots. You can find out more about why we are trialling the scheme and provide feedback below.

Meet the team

Leeds City Council is working with Starship and Co-op to try and offer more sustainable ways of transport. The council will also lead on collecting feedback from residents and customers about the robot pilot.
Leeds City Council is responsible for running this consultation, analysing its results and presenting them to stakeholders and the public.

Starship will provide the automated robots that deliver food purchases to local residents.

Two Co-op stores, Spen Lane and Adel, will provide the groceries that customers can buy. Staff will then pack the groceries into the robot and they will be delivered to customers.
