4. Economic Development & Employment
How should we support employment by planning for the needs of businesses?
Leeds Local Plan
Economic Development & Employment
What is this topic about?
Leeds has a diverse and thriving economy with strong financial, legal and technological sectors, and the national and international headquarters of many companies. There is a need for more space for businesses to enable existing businesses to grow and to attract new investment to the area, which will help create jobs, raise wages and improve quality of life.
We want to hear from you about how we should be planning for new economic development. This includes the overall amount of space that is needed for businesses, and how we protect land that is currently used by businesses. We are also seeking your views on how the Plan can support and protect the visitor economy and culture
