Otley Bridge Footway Replacement

Night closure Wednesday 17 September (8pm – 5.30am) is now cancelled.

Unfortunately, due to the recent adverse weather and its impact on the river, we must cancel the night work scheduled for Wednesday 17 September. The work will now be rescheduled for 8pm Monday 22 September until 5.30am Tuesday.

An upcoming night closure of Otley Bridge for concreting works.

Initially, it was expected that these works could be managed with intermittent night works with lane closures, but it has now been established that a full closure is necessary. A signed diversion via Pool in Wharfedale will be in place.

We recently scheduled intermittent night works with lane closures over Otley Bridge starting from 20 August for a duration of approximately two to three weeks.

However, we have found it necessary for operational safety to carry out the concrete pours of the cantilevers under full closures. This will also enable us to install the concrete quicker and significantly reduce the length of the night shifts and associated noise.
