Consultation Helps Shape Future Improvements

Over summer 2026, residents, community groups, schools, young people, local organisations and businesses were invited to help shape the future of key green spaces and the local centre within Holbeck.

Using interactive maps, visual design tools and co-design activities, participants were able to share ideas about how the spaces are currently used and what improvements would make the biggest difference to local people.

What We Learned

Several key themes emerged consistently throughout the consultation process.

• Safety was the strongest message from residents and stakeholders.
• People want greener, more colourful spaces.
• Better facilities for all ages were requested.
• Health and wellbeing opportunities were important.

What's Next?

The consultation findings will now help inform the development of detailed design proposals for the project. The feedback received has provided a valuable understanding of local priorities and will ensure future improvements reflect the needs and aspirations of the community. Read the full report below.
