Morley Town Hall Planning Application submitted

Leeds City Council have submitted a full planning and listed building application to the Local Planning Authority. The application was validated on Monday 23rd September 2024. The building is Grade I listed and also requires listed building consent. 

The planning and listed building applications set out proposals for refurbishment works including:

• Reconfiguration of the lower ground and ground floor forming cafe, bar and WC upgrades.
• New doors and windows to Queen Street, providing level access.
• New handrails to main entrance steps.
• Ventilation, acoustics and technical upgrades to Alexandra Hall.
• New fire escape to Alexandra Hall with associated lighting/signage.
• Refurbishment of the first floor gallery space.
• Installation of lift.
• New external mechanical plant including a roof top Air Handling Unit (AHU).

Statutory public consultation on the planning submission is open with comments to be submitted by Friday 1st November 2024.
