Armley Town Street

Following the Armley Town Street consultation held in 2024, we have now completed detailed designs for the proposed scheme. This is following extensive feedback received from residents, businesses, and local community groups. The results can be found here.

We have submitted a business case to the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) and expect to hear about the release of funding for the scheme in March. In the meantime, we are following approval from Leeds City Council's Highways Board, we will go out to tender to seek the best price and most suitable supplier to carry out the works.

Before the scheme commences on site, Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) will be advertised with the Yorkshire Evening Post and on Armley Town Street itself, which means there is a period of 28 days for anyone to submit any comments or feedback. We are expecting the construction works to last around a year, but we will have a more accurate timescale once we have appointed a contractor.
