Morley Town Deal
Investment in local greenspaces in Morley
The Greener and Connected programme is transforming existing parks, greenspaces and active travel routes across Morley.
So far Morley Town Deal has invested in Hembrigg, Lewisham, Churwell, Dartmouth and Cottingley parks and also created new pocket parks at Magpie Lane and Bruntcliffe Lane. Scarth Gardens and Cottingley MUGA have also recently been completed and nearly 1,700 trees planted.
Final projects
The final greenspaces to receive Morley Town Deal investment and be completed are:
- Scatcherd Park and Sunken Garden works began in September/October.
- Beryl Burton pocket park works to commence in early 2027.
- New Beryl Burton Greenway from Morley to the White Rose centre.
Following the success of the Dartmouth Park event in September 2025 we will be holding a Morley greenspace event when all schemes are completed to celebrate all the great work achieved. We would love to hear your feedback on what you think about your new greenspaces and parks too.
