Reports on environmental considerations

We understand that some aspects of these important works may raise concerns locally, and we want to be transparent about the steps we’ve taken to carefully assess the various environmental impacts.

Below, you’ll find a series of detailed reports conducted by independent experts, which informed our decision-making. These reports cover the health of trees, ecological constraints, and the measures we’re putting in place to protect and enhance the local environment.

Initial Visual Tree Assessment

This report provides an initial visual survey of all the trees in the park, helping to identify their condition and any immediate concerns.

Arboricultural Report

This report assesses the impact of the works on nearby trees and offers recommendations to minimise disruption.
Please note: Leeds City Council will plant at least nine semi-mature trees to replace the oak tree (T5) and at least four semi-mature trees to replace the tulip tree (T3).

Ecological Constraints Report

This report outlines the general ecological constraints in the area and provides recommendations for how to address them responsibly during the works.

Aquatic Ecology Report

This assessment gathers baseline information about the aquatic environment near Otley Bridge and recommends further survey work to ensure the local habitat is protected.

Bat Report

This report investigates the presence of bats in the area and provides guidance on measures to protect these important species during the project.

Otter Report

This report investigates the presence of Otters in the area and provides guidance on measures to protect these important species during the project.
