A660 Leeds

Construction has restarted after the Christmas and New Year period. Find out more about the current works below.

Sections 1 and 2 – A660 Otley Road and Headingley Lane

(from Shaw Lane to Richmond Avenue)

  • Works are continuing overnight opposite Headingley Central (Arndale Centre) to complete the segregated cycle track between Shaw Lane and North Lane.
  • Works are also starting at the junction of the A660/North Lane and Wood Lane to improve the junction. This represents the final phase of works for this part of the scheme.
  • Resurfacing works are continuing along the kerb line to complete the carriageway works, with road markings to follow once surfacing is complete.

Section 5 – Hyde Park Corner

New paving outside The Crescent and The Hyde Park Pub has been completed and reopened, creating a new public space. Soil has been laid in the planters ready for planting in March (this can only be undertaken from March to ensure the longevity of the plants). The road closure of Woodhouse Street, in place since October 2025, will be removed by the end of this month.

Upcoming works:

  • Majority of works have now been completed, with resurfacing and lining works completed this week.
  • Following this, around four weeks of work remains on the footpaths throughout the scheme to complete.

Thank you for your continued patience during the works. You can contact us at any time at connectingleeds@leeds.gov.uk.
