Love Moortown

Moortown is the fourth of our city's 33 wards to be the focus of our 'Love Leeds' programme.

We aim to work closely with the community and local partners to deliver visible improvements and help strengthen a sense of belonging and pride in the local area, involving local residents every step of the way.

Have your say

The programme will start with engagement and consultation with local groups, stakeholders and residents to listen, understand and identify priorities for improvement.

We will be hosting a range of resident drop-ins and workshops, pop-up listening and engagement session, to provide local opportunities for people to have a much stronger voice in how their local area is looked after and improved.

You can have your say by:

Attending one of our resident listening sessions:

Date: 15th October

Time: 6.30pm–8.30pm

Location: Moortown Baptist Church

After hearing local views, we will develop action plans to address the issues raised.

We will then carry out intensive action on the ground to make changes which residents will be able to see and feel.

Examples of possible improvements could be intensive environmental clean-ups, weeding, cleaning, graffiti removal, improving highways, removing rubbish, work to tackle and preventing fly-tipping, clearing and cleaning community housing and health support and advice, such as pop-up blood pressure checks and health outreach work.

Community Action / Activities

We will be holding action and activity days - further details on these will follow.
