Lawnswood construction update October

Welcome to the latest update on the progress of works to Lawnswood roundabout.

Works on the roundabout centre, kerbing and footway ducting on the A6120, ring road West Park (outside Weetwood Hall) continues.

The construction underground is finding unmapped utility services and is working through these challenges, for example with Yorkshire Water drainage.

The mobile pedestrian crossings have all been moved and we welcome any feedback on these new positions.

New 24/7 lane closures A6120 Outer Ring Road near Wynford Avenue

Starting from Saturday 25 October for up to two weeks, there will be 24/7 lane closures on the A6120 western side of the roundabout, by the junction with Wynford Avenue. This is planned work by Yorkshire Water in preparation for collaborative works with our project on the roundabout, involving the diversion of fresh water supply.

These lane closures are separate from the 930am – 330pm standard working which is currently being undertaken. Please plan ahead and allow extra time on some journeys, especially during the busiest times in the morning and evening.
