A660 scheme update October

The next two weeks will see a number of works happening in Sections 1,2 and 5. Find out more about each below.

Sections 1&2 – A660 Otley Road and Headinley Lane from Shaw Lane to Richmond Avenue

• Surfacing works will start from 2nd November 2025 on the cycle tracks on both sides of A660
• Works will continue outside of Headingley Central (Arndale Centre)
• The paving will be completed on a large section of St. Michaels Road which will allow the area to be substantially opened up in anticipation of Remembrance Sunday services
• Works continue in the Spring Bank Crescent area to complete the cycle track kerbing and repaving

Section 5 – Hyde Park Corner 

• Tree pits installed at the junction of Woodhouse Street
• We will begin kerbing works in the area in anticipation of repaving the old footway, and creating a new, large community area
• Works continue at the corner of Hyde Park Road and A660 to complete traffic signals and pedestrian crossing upgrades
