Limewood Road

Site A Proposals

The site is currently owned by Leeds City Council and has been vacant for over 5 years. It will consist of 17 light industrial units with individual unit sizes ranging between 500 and 2,000 square feet.

There is currently an undersupply of this sized industrial unit in the Leeds and surrounding areas and the units will be aimed at small and medium sized enterprises. The whole industrial estate offers a total floor space of 17,500 square feet.

The development of the industrial estate provides an opportunity to create new jobs in the area, given that there is potential for 17 new small to medium businesses to locate there.

In addition to the construction of the 17 industrial units there will be improvements made to the surrounding greenspace within the site. The greenspace within site A will not be accessible to the public, however it will include ecological enhancements such as the creation of a permanent pond, native bushes, shrubs and tree planting, as well as wildflower grass and bulb planting. These improvements will enhance the habitat for local wildlife.

When construction commences the site will be accessed from Limewood Road so there will be minimal impact on the residential areas around Ramshead Approach and the Eastdean estate.

As with any construction site there will be noise throughout the construction process. This will be mitigated and kept to a minimum through (insert measures – working hours, no weekend work of this kind etc) Further details will be produced through the next stage of project development and updates will be provided in the Latest News tile within this site.

The images below give an idea of how the industrial units will look.
