A destination for sport and leisure
Using football stadia to create new opportunities
Elland Road Neighbourhood
A destination for sport and leisure
With Elland Road stadium at its heart, the Elland Road Neighbourhood is already a destination for sport.
The stadium and its future expansion plan can help support sports-led regeneration, led by similar examples of major stadia across the world.
At this location, this could include black box-style venues or an indoor community sports arena which generate footfall to the site on non-match days and can host events such as boxing, netball, darts, and e-gaming competitions.
Educational facilities linked to sport, health and wellbeing
The Elland Road Neighbourhood could become a location for training, education, and research and development linked to elite sport.
Examples could include co-locating educational facilities on site that link to the sports sector, or are focused on the local community and economy.
