Transforming our City Centre
Driving to car parks in the west of the city centre (Wellington Place, West St, Wellington St)

The easiest way to drive to car parks in the west of the city centre is by using the city’s ring road.
If approaching Leeds from the south on the M621 we recommend using Junction 2 and then loop around the city centre. This is usually easier than using Junction 3 and driving through the city centre, as previous routes are likely to have changed and in some instances may now be closed to private vehicles.
- From the M621 you can use Junction 2 and then loop around the city centre. From J2, follow the A643 before joining the A58. Exit the A58 following signs for the A65 and rail station. Once you have left the A58 follow signs for the city centre and follow signs for car parks.

• If you are travelling from the A64(M) westbound to Wellington Street and Wellington Place, follow this west onto the A58(M). Take the slip road onto the City Centre and Westgate and bear right following signs to the station.
Once through the traffic lights take one of the two left-hand lanes (towards Halifax, Bradford and Huddersfield), following this until you are able to take the left-hand lane marked ‘city’. Turn left onto Wellington Street and follow the signs for car parks.

- If you are travelling from the A64(M) westbound to West Street car park, continue for an extra junction on the A58(M) and exit for the A65 and station. Keep in the right hand lane and follow signs to the car park.

- If you are travelling from the north of the city, you should join the ring road at the A58(M) and travel west, or join the A64(M) and travel west as it becomes the A58(M). From there, follow the options above for either Wellington Street, Wellington Place, or West Street.
