Elland Road Neighbourhood

Leeds City Council has approved the refreshed planning statement to guide future development of land in the vicinity of Elland Road.

The proposals represent a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a new mixed-use neighbourhood, delivering:

  • between 1,500 and 2,500 new homes with a residential population of around 3,300 people.
  • New major leisure and workspace.
  • Major economic impact and job creation.
  • Re-modelled transport access.

These proposals refresh the Elland Road Planning Guidance produced in 2007, and follows public consultation last summer  - thank you to all who contributed.

The planning statement acts as guiding principles should future development come forward.
