Leeds needs trees!
In 2019, Leeds declared a climate emergency. To combat this, we are planting 5.8 million trees over 25 years, 50 hectares of land every year.
Consultation has now ended for Woodland Creation sites considered for 2024/25 planting. We will update Commonplace with sites that are going ahead once the results of the consultation have been finalised.
If you are interested in getting involved in tree planting email: woodlandcreation@leeds.gov.uk
