Final touches under way at Lawnswood Roundabout

Work to transform Lawnswood Roundabout is now well into the final stages, with significant progress made across the junction and most of the major construction work complete. New crossings, walking and cycling facilities, road layouts and landscaping features are now clearly visible, giving a real sense of how the finished scheme will look.

In recent weeks, teams have completed the final phase of surfacing and continued work on the remaining crossings, footways and cycleways. Installation of the new traffic signal equipment is also well underway, with testing and commissioning due to begin shortly.

Over the coming weeks, work will focus on the final touches, including completing the new rain garden in the centre of the roundabout, finishing tactile paving, installing the new bus shelter, planting trees, landscaping and bringing the traffic signals into operation.
