About

Active Arts Corridor

The City of Lock Haven is bringing together active transportation and arts to create an Active Arts Corridor. This 2-mile-long multimodal corridor will promote murals, art, and active transportation throughout our community. Two bike lanes will be featured on either side of the corridor that spans along Hanna Street, Jordan’s Alley, Fifth Street, and Church Street in the City of Lock Haven. This route will connect the east and west ends of the city and create nodes from local parks, downtown businesses, Commonwealth University- Lock Haven campus, and more. In addition, the route will connect with the Bald Eagle Valley Trail (BEVT), a rail trail currently being developed by Clinton County Government. The Active Arts Corridor is a perfect opportunity to connect cultural resources with natural resources in Clinton County.

Dripped on the Road X Lock Haven

Five talented artists visited Lock Haven from October 1, 2024 to October 15, 2024 to paint murals throughout the city. Their visit resulted in five murals along the future Active Arts Corridor and other key walls in the city. This project was funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Clinton County Visitor's Bureau & Tourism Agency, and the City of Lock Haven.
