About

The City of Lock Haven received a PennDOT Green-Light-Go grant in the amount of $351,719 to fund this project. The Green-Light-Go Traffic Signal project will replace the traffic signals located at the intersection of 2nd Avenue, Barton Street, and Bellefonte Avenue. Along with replacing the signals themselves, the project will also adjust the timing of the signals to create a safer driving environment for those using the intersection. The intersection's sidewalks and crosswalks will also receive some upgrades. These upgrades include new or improved ADA sidewalk ramps and curb cuts as well as new pedestrian signals, making navigating the intersection on foot safer and easier for all. The project engineer, TransAssociates, has been hard at work for months creating plans and designing an intersection that meets safety standards and suits our needs. The project contractor, M&B Services, is ready to make these plans into a reality over the coming months. With the construction of this project officially started, we look forward to enjoying the safety and efficiency of new traffic signals in the months to come.
