Looking for a Senior Project?

The City of Lock Haven is looking for students in need of a Senior Project! Our current project includes building 12 benches along Lock Haven's Main Street. We have recently completed the pricing and design of these benches, which can be seen below. We are now looking for students interested in taking on the project. These benches would not only be a beautiful addition to Main Street, but also provide much needed seating along our city's most predominant roadway.

With 12 benches to be made, this project may be best suited for a group of students to complete. This would help to distribute the workload amongst a group of students, rather than placing a large load on a single student. Due to the nature of this project and to ensure student safety, we are looking for students that have experience with woodworking, construction, or the use of power tools. All materials will be provided to students, allowing for the project to be completed without the need for students to contribute financially.

This project can be completed during after school hours or even during weekends with adequate planning. We would like to have this project completed and the benches ready to install by the end of the school year. To ensure proper safety and clarity, the project will be overseen by Carter Simcox.
