Lock Haven Fire Department

The Lock Haven Fire Department is composed of three private volunteer fire corporations: Citizen Hose Company, Hand-In-Hand Hose Company and Hope Hose Company that provide fire suppression, technical rescue, Quick Response Service (EMS), and hazardous materials response to City residents. An important service also provided by the Lock Haven Fire Department is that of fire prevention and life safety education. Volunteers make up approximately 80% of the manpower for the Lock Haven Fire Department with the remaining 20% being career staff members. This combination allows a quick, effective response to emergencies while being financially responsible with tax dollars.
