Location
Ladywell is a popular place to live with high quality housing, a busy village centre, great transport and local parks including the 22 hectare Ladywell Fields. It also has easy access to central Lewisham’s revived town centre, an exciting area of regeneration and investment.
Ladywell Playtower is located approximately 1km southwest of Lewisham town centre and is situated roughly halfway between Lewisham High Street and Ladywell village.
Connectivity
Ladywell Playtower sits adjacent to Ladywell station, offering Southeastern and National Rail services alongside numerous bus routes. This excellent connectivity gives the area a Public Transport Accessibility Level (PTAL) of 6a, London’s second-highest rating. Overground trains link to Lewisham for easy DLR access via Greenwich and Canary Wharf, while multiple routes serve central London.
London Bridge is just 10 minutes away by direct train, with Waterloo East reachable in 16 minutes, connecting to the wider Tube and national rail network. Frequent bus services also link Ladywell to surrounding areas across south London.
Local growth
The site is nearby to Ladywell’s bustling village centre and benefits from great transport links (including a 10 minute direct train to London Bridge). It is surrounded by rejuvenated public and open spaces. In close proximity, a 102 affordable housing development, Ladywell Park Gardens, has recently secured a delivery partner, with future residents set to move in in spring 2028.
Nearby, Lewisham’s town centre is benefiting from investment including the renewal of the market, library, high street, shopping centre and nearby development, whilst Catford centre is earmarked for major regeneration works.
