Final plans

The work is being completed in sections, starting with Section 3 (Wood Street to Hale End Road) and Junction 2 (Wood Street Junction).

Section 1-2 (Falmer Road to Wood Street), Section 4 (Hale End Road to Woodford New Road) and Junctions 1, 3 and 4 will be delivered in stages over the next couple of years.

Section 3 and Junction 2

The plans for Section 3 and Junction 2 includes:

• New segregated cycle tracks
• Trees
• Blended crossings
• Low-level planting including sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDS)
• A segregated pedestrian and cycle crossing and raised junction.

Construction works for Section 3 will commence mid-June 2025 and are expected to take approximately 5 months to complete.

Construction works for Junction 2 will commence autumn 2025 and are expected to take approximately 9 months to complete.
