Get your cycle checked, test out a cargo bike or join an All Ability Cycling Club session this Easter holidays at our Try Out Cycling Day.

Come down to Lloyd Park from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday 9 April for a range of free activities to give everyone the opportunity to try riding a cycle.

Dr Bike’s expert mechanics will be there to check over your cycle’s tyres, gears, pedals, and brakes. They will make any minor adjustments needed on the spot or if they can’t fix it, they will let you know what needs to be done and how much it should cost at the cycle shop.

There will be cargo bikes on hand for you to take for a spin to see how they can make business deliveries quicker, greener, and cheaper.

You can also join an All Ability Cycling Club session, where trained instructors will help with a range of cycles including relaxed tricycles, recumbents, wheelchair cycles, hand cycles and side-by-side cycles.

If you can't make it to Try Out Cycling Day, we offer plenty of regular activities to encourage residents to give walking and cycling a go.

We offer nine walking and cycling trails, called Waltham Forest Wanders, which showcase famous people and places in the borough and can be completed on your own or with friends or family.

If you prefer a guided stroll, trained volunteers lead our free Feel Good Walks which are a great way to get out and about, meet new people and explore some of the borough’s beautiful green spaces.

Our All Ability Cycling Club runs regularly every second Saturday at 10am to 12pm at Higham Hill Park.

We also run initiatives to help businesses looking for quicker and greener ways to deliver orders or to provide staff with cheaper and healthier transport options.

We offer free cycle loans and cycle training to people who live, work or study in Waltham Forest, and offer businesses free cargo bike trials for a month to test out how they could be used to make deliveries.
